HTML List

To specify lists of information, use HTML Lists. There may be one or more list elements in every list.

HTML lists can be of three main types:

  • Numbered or Ordered List (ol)
  • Bulleted list or an unordered list (ul)
  • Definition List or a description list(dl)

Ordered Lists in HTML

The HTML-ordered list will be utilized if you need to list your things numerically rather than in bullets. The <ol> tag was used to build this list. Each subsequent ordered list element marked with a <li> increases the numbering from one to one.

HTML Bulleted or Unordered List

All of the list items in an HTML unordered list are indicated by bullets. It is sometimes referred to as a bulleted list. List elements begin with the <li> tag and the Unordered list begins with the <ul> tag.

HTML description lists

HTML also supports description lists. A description list, which is a list of words, contains term descriptions. The <dt> tag defines the terms (names), the <dl> tag defines the description list, and the <dd> tag defines each term individually:
